Mahalia Thomas is a finalist in the Limited Edition Digital (L.E.D) Spotlight showcase presented by the Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (MusicTT).

Billed as the first ever in the series, the L.E.D Spotlight final is advertised to take place on Friday, May, 29.

Showtime is 1pm.

Thomas, the captain of single pan band Arima All Stars, will play the steelpan – the national musical instrument of Trinidad and Tobago.

She is described as a diligent, ambitious and committed individual who continues to strive for excellence.

This young lady who hails from Arima has over fifteen years’ experience on the music circuit as a soloist and has performed for various functions in many venues in Trinidad.

She has taught many students, some privately and some who belong to her home band Arima All Stars.

Thomas has also performed with other steelbands. Melodians is one such band. She also had the privilege of arranging for the senior band, as well as the junior band, on several occasions. Her passion for the instrument is evident and that enthusiasm is clearly communicated to her audience.
