The National Carnival Commission (NCC) will launch its digital platform titled the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival World on what should have been Carnival Sunday (Feb 14) if Covid-19 did not scupper plans for this country’s staging of the Greatest Show on Earth.

The V.I.P Lounge at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, dubbed Carnival City is the venue for the Valentine’s Day launch. Starting time is 10am.

NCC Chairman, Winston “Gypsy” Peters and his deputy Davlin Thomas will join members of the board of commissioners and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) representatives for the unveiling. CEO Colin Lucas and line minister Randall Mitchell, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts are expected to be in attendance.

Spokespersons will share information on the platform and provide a live walkthrough of the portal to allow users to benefit from the interactive digital archive showcase.

T&T Carnival World is scheduled to go Live!, an hour from the launch.

Culture lovers will learn of NCC plans for its Big Sunday Reflections series taking place later in the day, as well as other broadcasts activities through to Tuesday February 16 on state-owned Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT).
