Excitement is aplenty as organisers of the inaugural on-line steelpan soloist music competition titled Panograma name the semi-finalists to appear on April 30.
After two days of preliminary competition Live!, on Instagram -on April 24 and 25 – the show’s founder and produced Nevin Roach of Trinidad and Tobago and his team have published the results.
Of the 20 entrants in the opening round of the contest, ten T&T contestants have advanced. The other five semi-finalists hail from Barbados (two), the United States, St Maarten and Antigua and Barbuda, respectively.
The world premiere of Panograma was not without technical difficulties, but when resolved, fans were able to log on to witness the regional and internationals contestant(s) of their choice play for a place in the final.
There are ten places allotted for the final advertised to take place on May 3. On that night the winner will take home a US$500 first prize; US$200 (second) and third place US$100.
